Steve Roensch -The Finite Element Method A Four-Article Series

Steve has a robust background in engineering mechanics, physics and mathematics, and 42 years of professional experience analyzing product designs and failures. His workload is a combination of consulting on product designs and serving as an expert on injury, death, loss and patent cases. He has worked on a wide array of product designs, from oilfield equipment to robots, military vehicles to the International Space Station. Steve holds an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, Engineering and Physics with Honors.

Steve has served as an expert witness on 77 cases and has testified 23 times. He has taught engineering classes at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Marquette University, IBM Research & Development, and at client locations. In addition to a very strong theoretical background, Steve is a hands-on engineer, and has performed maintenance and repairs on his own SUVs, boats and aircraft.
