Jon Spelke is a highly experienced senior executive with a diverse background and deep roots in all aspects of real estate ownership, having served in senior executive positions with large institutional firms and high net-worth family offices, providing asset management services for real estate partnerships, LLCs and portfolios. 1. Engaged by the plaintiff on a complex high-profile case involving a large West Side class A property owner (billion dollar REIT).  My report was completed and filed with the court. My opinion was critical for win at a recent summary judgment hearing. My depo is this week Thursday.  I was retained as an expert to counter the defense attempt to remove a deep-pocketed entity from the case and involves corporate and entity structuring and direct versus indirect parent companies. This is a multimillion dollar personal injury case involving a multifamily property.
2. Engaged by the defense, an insurance company, being sued by a former policy owner in connection with a commercial property claim and conditional use permits. Report was filed Friday. This case involves insurance fraud, money-laundering and other complex issues.
