Dr. Arpaia interned at Lenox Hill Hospital and completed his residency at Northwell Health, Staten Island University Hospital division. Due to his exceptional commitment to evidenced based medicint and teaching he was accepted as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in his Chief Residency year. Dr. Arpaia has maintained his board certification throughout his career. 

Dr. Arpaia has vast experience in geriatrics including nursing home care, long term care management of the elderly in the community as well as transitions of care for patients of all ages. He is a founding member of a large ACO and served as its Vice President from its inception. He has been the Medical Director for Visiting Nurse Services of Staten Island helping to develop smooth transitions of care and a solid home care foundation for the elderly. Dr. Arpaia’s acumen in developing medical protocols for multiple chronic medical conditions embedded in evidenced based medicine is the cornerstone of his success in the field.

He has provided insightful, objective and credible reports representing best practices and standards of care in matters dealing with medical malpractice review, independent medical examinations for insurers and provided expert testimony when necessary. Reports are supported by best practices in a clear and concise manner.

Dr. Arpaia continues to be a leader in patient care in the community teaching evidence-based medicine and best practices to residents in hospital systems, health information technology companies, and skilled nursing organizations. As such he has been consistently recognized by his peers.
