Harriet Jacobster, AuD, is an ASHA Certified Doctor of Audiology with 40 years of experience in working with various populations with tinnitus, hearing, balance, and cognitive disorders. She is also a Certified Health Coach, Certified Master Trainer, and a Certified Functional Aging Specialist specializing in the special needs of Seniors.
She specializes in Tinnitus, Military Noise Exposure, and Cognitive Disorders. She is VA-trained in Disability, Compensation, and Pension Examinations. She works closely with the NYS Division of Veterans’ Services and Veteran Service Officers nationwide on Veterans’ Appeals.
She has served as an Expert Witness in several landmark cases dealing with Noise Exposure, and several Personal Injury Cases. She has given several presentations on various aspects of Hearing Disorders and Military Noise Exposure and has publications on Tinnitus in the US and abroad.
As an accomplished musician, she has extensive knowledge of acoustics and noise in the auditory system. As a Certified Health Coach, she knows the effect of noise and environmental factors on general health and well-being. As a Functional Aging Specialist, she has researched the Cognitive Effects of Hearing Loss on general health and well-being, especially in the aging population.
