I graduated from Grapevine High School in Grapevine, Texas in 1983 and the University of North Texas in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a Master of Science Degree in Accounting (Emphasis in Audit). I received my CPA designation in Texas in 1993 and my CPA designation in Minnesota in 2000.

I have over 30 years’ experience in general accounting, auditing of public and private companies, tax return preparation, financial statement preparation, SEC Reporting, and auditing under the audit standards of the PCAOB.

Since 2007, I have been a contributing author to more than 65 of audit guides and practice aids sold by Thomson Reuters.

From 2015 to 2022, I was the author of Thomson’s SEC and PCAOB Quarterly Updates and taught that content monthly via live continuing professional education (CPE) webinars as the subject matter expert for Thomson Reuters. This webinar provided participants with an overview of the recent and proposed SEC and PCAOB regulatory actions related to accounting and auditing for public companies and broker-dealers, including: PCAOB and SEC audit standards and rules, concept and other releases, proposed other releases, results of recent PCAOB Inspection reports of Auditors of Registrants and PCAOB Inspection Reports of Auditors of Broker Dealers, Staff Audit Practice Alerts, and PCAOB Staff FAQ’s
