Dr. Bennett has over 25 years of clinical experience and is a board-certified general surgeon trained at the University of Chicago, and a fellowship trained surgical oncologist from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Society of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Bennett is the System Chair of Surgery for LifeBridge Health, a large, academic, multi-hospital, healthcare system in Baltimore, Maryland. He maintains an active clinical practice in surgical oncology and is part of core teaching faculty. He was prior Division Chief of surgical oncology at a large academic hospital and was director of the hepatobiliary- pancreas multidisciplinary team, and the gastric, melanoma and sarcoma multidisciplinary team.

Dr. Bennett is regularly voted as Top Doctor both locally and nationally. Dr. Bennett is well published in many of the most premier peer-reviewed medical journals and has given many national presentations regarding cancer research and surgical outcomes. Dr. Bennett specializes in hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery and cancers, gastrointestinal surgery and cancers, soft tissue sarcoma and skin cancers. He performs laparoscopic, robotic and open surgery for both benign and malignant diseases.
