With over 40 years in real estate, Jon Spelke is a highly experienced hands-on senior executive with a broad and diverse background with deep roots in all aspects of real estate ownership and management. Mr. Spelke worked his way up from an entry level financial manager for a small family office doing real estate syndications, development, portfolio and property management to senior executive positions with large institutional firms and high net-worth family offices operating nationally.

Over the years, Mr. Spelke has directly managed and/or been involved in over $5B of real estate deals/transactions (large and small) from acquisitions, dispositions, development, entitlements, due diligence, legal structuring and negotiations, joint ventures, financial analyses, asset and portfolio management, capital markets (debt and equity), debt negotiations and workouts and all operational aspects of commercial and residential real estate.

Mr. Spelke applies his analytical, valuation and operational skills in the management of each asset to maximize the returns and mitigate risk. His strong knowledge and application of the STANDARD OF CARE principals in the management and operation of real estate assets is borne from his accountability to owners and investors over his 40+ years in the commercial and residential real estate industry. Current and prior engagements:

1. Actively engaged by the plaintiff on a complex high-profile case against a large Los Angeles-based REIT and one of the largest Class A office and multifamily owners in LA.  The engagement involves corporate and entity structuring and direct versus indirect parent company control and actions. Deposition was in May2024 with a trial currently scheduled for summary 2024. Referral from a well- known LA-based expert witness and receiver.
2. Actively engaged by the defense, a large insurance company, defending against a former policy owner in connection with a commercial property claim involving tenant and vandalism damages and conditional use permits. This case involves insurance fraud, money-laundering and other complex issues. Deposition is pending. From an expert witness referral site.
3. Actively engaged for pre-litigation strategy for the potential plaintiffs, a family trust. This involves trusts, wills, elder abuse and an under-market and non- standard master lease on a prime Santa Monica commercial building to a non- family member. From an expert witness referral site.
