In 2008 Jayme began his law enforcement career with the Marana Police Department Arizona. In 2012 he moved to Idaho with his family and began working for the Garden City Police Department where he has served as a patrol officer, detective corporal, detective sergeant. During his time on patrol and in the criminal investigations unit he has extensively investigated all manner of crimes from burglary to complex homicides. Jayme has over one thousand five-hundred hours of law enforcement training covering numerous subjects including: death investigations, sex crimes, interview and interrogation, domestic violence, child abuse, stalking, patrol tactics, and more. He has dedicated countless hours of research for investigations best practices. Jayme now has over 2000 hours of education.
Prior to working in law enforcement, Jayme spent five years as a high school science teacher. He obtained his Bachelor of Science and Education and later obtained his Master of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He currently holds an Idaho POST advanced certificate and has been an Idaho POST certified instructor since 2017.
Jayme is a subject matter expert in bloodstain pattern analysis. Jayme is also a court recognized expert in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis in Idaho. The process for international recognition includes a grueling series of coursework, proficiency testing, and mentorship requirements. His proficiency and area of expertise includes groundbreaking research of blood swipes and wipes on fabric, a topic he presented at the International Association of Identification in 2019.
