Dr. Stark has a blue-ribbon top-tier Ivy League education: BA cum laude from Yale and MD cum laude from Harvard. He trained in Internal Medicine at Washington University/Barnes Hospital and returned to Harvard for a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He practiced Hematology and Medical Oncology for 34 years and is currently Full Professor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School and a visiting lecturer at the University of Miami. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology for life, is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He has extensive experience as a litigation expert serving plaintiffs and defendants in equal numbers throughout the United States. He is considered an expert testifying witness making a good impression with juries. He is an editor of Practical Reviews in Cancer Management, a publication of Oakstone Publications, which produces continuing education materials for practicing physicians. He is on the editorial boards of numerous peer-reviewed medical journals. His recent litigation work continues to involve medical malpractice and other medical errors for plaintiffs and defendants, but he has become increasingly involved in toxic tort litigation, including such matters as the talc carcinogenesis litigation, the NDMA/Zantac carcinogenesis litigation, and the Philips CPAP litigation.
