Currently completing specialized, advanced training in Interventional Cardiology at Borgess/Beacon Ascension Kalamazoo, MI providing cutting-edge expertise in current procedural standards and national guidelines (ACC/AHA/SCAI).

Core Areas of Expertise:

Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) and MI: Review of initial presentation, triage, timely diagnosis, and management (STEMI/NSTEMI protocols).

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI): Appropriateness, technical execution, procedural complications (perforation, dissection, access site issues), and device selection (stenting, atherectomy).

Diagnostic Cardiology: Interpretation and timing of non-invasive testing including EKG, stress testing (treadmill, pharmacologic), and echocardiography.

General Medical Management: Inpatient and outpatient management of common cardiac conditions including Heart Failure (HFrEF/HFpEF), Atrial Fibrillation/Arrhythmia management, and Hyperlipidemia.

High-Risk Procedures: Management of cardiogenic shock, use of mechanical circulatory support (Impella, IABP), and emerging techniques (TAVR, complex coronary cases).

Standard of Care: Review of DAPT/anticoagulation management, post-procedure follow-up, and failure to timely refer for cardiac catheterization.
