In addition to my expert witness and consulting work, I actively maintain professional relationships and required credentials within the cannabis industry in order to remain current with evolving regulations, industry practices, and market conditions.
My hands-on experience in both indoor and outdoor cannabis cultivation and commercial operations provides me with direct, practical knowledge of accepted industry practices. I am able to articulate clear, objective, and well-supported expert opinions across many segments of the hemp and marijuana industries.
My continuing education and professional certifications include designation as a Certified Commercial Cannabis Expert (CCCE) through the Association of Certified Commercial Cannabis Experts. I have also completed the University of Denver’s Cannabis Compliance Management and Risk Management program, with coursework in Cannabis 101, Cannabis Compliance, and Cannabis Risk Management. In addition, I completed the University of Denver’s Cannabis Agriculture and Horticulture program, including Cannabis Agriculture and Horticulture I and II, as well as the University of Denver’s Business of Cannabis program, including The Business of Cannabis I and II. I further completed the University of Denver’s Equity and the Cannabis Connection program, including coursework in Social and Environmental Justice in Cannabis.
I am certified by the State of Colorado as a Hemp Sampler, having successfully passed the state examination and received authorization to conduct hemp compliance sampling. I also hold an OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Outreach certification through 360 Training and a Water Restoration Technician certification through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification.
My areas of expertise include market analysis; feminized seed production; indoor cannabis cultivation for seed and flower; seedling production and field planting; clone production; field production of cannabinoid crops; pest and pathogen management; yield projections and crop valuation, including economic damage assessments; hemp and marijuana market analysis; evaluation of certificates of analysis (COAs); breeding and strain trait selection; and hydroponic systems, equipment, and cultivation infrastructure.
