I am an actively practicing pediatrician and pediatric hospitalist with 25+ years of experience in caring for children. My training was completed at a top US medical school- Washington University in St. Louis. Double board certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Throughout my career, I have taught countless thousands medical students, interns and residents most recently as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine. I have also practiced general pediatrics and cared for children in outpatient clinics. Many of my colleagues shifted to either inpatient or outpatient clinical care when pediatric hospitalist programs were created. Since I have worked in both of these patient care settings, I have extensive expertise related to standards of care in each type of location as well as with the transitions that occur between hospital and home.

I am willing to evaluate medical care for pediatric patients ages birth to approximately 20 years of age and have cared for children with a wide variety of medical conditions. I have cared for many patients with seizures, respiratory distress, asthma, pneumonia, gastroenteritis, newborn jaundice, newborn feeding difficulties, newborn distress, bronchiolitis, viral infections, sepsis, urinary tract and blood stream infections, suicide attempts, intentional and accidental overdoses, accidental injuries, child abuse and neglect, Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, neurological conditions, dehydration, new cancer diagnoses, failure to thrive, head injuries, feeding difficulties, central lines infections, cellulitis, fractures, anaphylaxis, appendicitis, acute abdomens, pyelonephritis, abdominal abscess, status post appendectomy with and without complications, intestinal malrotation, PICC lines, complications of PICC lines, diabetes, adrenal insufficiency, inflammatory bowel disease, anemia, recurrent vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, functional disorders, and many more pediatric conditions too numerous to list here. I am willing to testify regarding standard of care issues related to the care of children.

My attention to detail is excellent and I am available for medical chart reviews or consultation.
