Daniel Peterson, MD, is a board certified anatomic and clinical pathologist with subspecialty board certification in cytopathology and has been in practice for >7 years. He practices full time in the community hospital setting and routinely performs microscopic evaluation of a wide range of surgical pathology and cytopathology specimens including but not limited to: gastrointestinal pathology, thoracic pathology, head and neck pathology, gynecologic pathology, genitourinary pathology, dermatopathology, neuropathology, breast pathology, liver pathology, hematopathology and bone marrow pathology, frozen section pathology, thyroid fine needle aspiration, pap smears, fluid cytology, urine cytology, endobronchial fine needle aspiration, salivary gland fine needle aspiration, pancreatic fine needle aspiration, histochemical stain interpretation, and immunohistochemical stain interpretation.

He is also responsible for medical directorship duties related to laboratory certification and interpretation of clinical laboratory tests including but not limited to serum protein electrophoresis, urine protein electrophoresis, serum and urine protein immunofixation, hemoglobin electrophoresis, blood bank transfusion antibody workup, thromboelastography interpretation, cerebrospinal fluid protein electrophoresis, peripheral blood smear review, anemia study analysis, Kleihauer-Betke test interpretation.
Services include expert witness review, deposition testimony, trial testimony, anatomic and clinical pathology case review, cytopathology case review, literature review, etc.
